  REGARDING SOCIAL ASSISTANCE for THE PAST PERIOD

  In response to your claim regarding the allocation of social benefits for the period from 08/01/2010 to 08/01/2011 wich payment only to the child, we explain:
  Pursuant to the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Monetary Support for Poor Families and Individuals Living Alone (hereinafter - Law) (redaction 2003, No. 73-3352; 2006, No. 130-4889; 2008, No. 74-2861, No. 153-7797 ) in Article 7, Part 2, Clause 2, an unmarried person raising children under the age of 18, a divorced person or a married couple living separately, who meet the requirements of Articles 5 and 6 of this law, have the right to social assistance in period the court hearing the case of determining the parents and awarding the maintenance of the child(ren).
  We draw your attention to the fact that you, in 2010 in the month of September, when submitting an application to receive social monetary support, you did not submit the required document: either a lawsuit for establishing paternity, or awarding child support, certified by the court registration stamp, or a certificate that a civil case for establishing paternity and awarding child support has been filed in court and will be examined. In 2010 September, you submitted the ruling of the Plunges district district court on 09/21/2010 regarding the suspension of the civil case. Therefore, according to the Law, social welfare was paid only to the child, because the suspension of the case means that it not being examined at that time.
  In July 2011, you submitted to the Plunges district district court on 07/21/2011. certificate for 2-53-225/2011, that in 2011 August 1 the case was assigned to be investigated, therefore, as of 08/01/2011, the social allowance was recalculated and started to be paid to two persons (you and your child), as and indicated by the Law.
  Based on the available data, we would like to inform you that until 08/01/2011 social welfare was paid only for the child on a regular basis, and you will not be paid the social welfare for the past period.
