The Christmas Tale Ballet - The Nutcracker, Royal Ballet, 1892 version based on the story of The Tale of the Nutcracker and the Mouse King by E. T. A. Hoffmann.

The Nutcracker is a truly iconic international work that began its journey from the pen of the author provincial-aristocratic Prussia and conquered the world, taking the form of a ballet. Almost all the great writers, artists, creators, actors from many countries of the world put their tallent to it. The path to the visualization of this Tale is fantastic: Prussia, Germany, England, the USA, France, Russia, Monaco and already returning to the USA in the best traditions and performed by the best ballet troupes of the world in the form of a Christmas Tale.

I would like to emphasize that this miracle occurred without any manipulation of public opinion that facilitates the dissemination of information - and this means that both the original source and its embodiment in the ballet production are truly brilliant in the history of world culture.

 But first things first:
"The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" (German: Nussknacker und Mausekönig) is a novella-fairy tale written in 1816 by Prussian author E. T. A. Hoffmann, in which young Marie Stahlbaum's favorite Christmas toy, the Nutcracker, comes alive and, after defeating the evil Mouse King in battle, whisks her away to a magical kingdom populated by dolls. The story was originally published in Berlin in German as part of the collection Kinder-Märchen, Children's Stories, by In der Realschulbuchhandlung.

Original publication in 1816 in Berlin in the collection Kinder-Märchen, Children's Stories, by In der Realschulbuchhandlung.

The plot is an adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' 1844 short story The Nutcracker, itself a retelling of E. T. A. Hoffmann's 1816 short story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King. the first translated in English the Tale of Hoffman 'Nutcracker and  King of Mouse' did mked
Mrs. ST. SIMON in publication New-York: D.Appleton&Company, 200 Broadway, 1853. 1892 the composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, choreographers Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov turned  adaptation of christmas tale of story Nutcracker and  King of Mouse into the ballet The Nutcracker. The first 20-minute suite in the form of a ballet took place in the same year in Russia, performed by dancers and children studying ballet at the Mariinsky Imperial Theatre.

And this Tchaikovsky's score has become one of his most famous compositions. In the same year of 1892, the suite from the ballet “The Nutcracker” was published in an arrangement for piano four hands by A.S. Arensky, and the score of the entire ballet arrangement in this content was published only two years later. Among things, this the score is noted for its use of the celesta in classic desing, but did not have the same success as the 20-minute suite.

The first complete performance World saw only took place in 1934 in England , the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo staged by Nicholas Sergeyev after Petipa's maked original choreography and a little abridged version of the ballet performent in 1940 in USA. And only since the end of the 1960s, the ballet “The Nutcracker” has become a real Christmas single and is danced by all the famous ballet companies in the USA, UK, France and Germany.

Today, the ballet production of this brilliant work of cultural heritage of mankind accounts for about 40% of  all financing investing in teatral iskustvo of the world  from all performances of all ballet companies in The World.
